Manuel Mendes is a business strategist with expertise in assessing markets, evaluating investment opportunities, launching new businesses and delivering executive leadership. His focus areas at IXL Center are international business, market innovation and growth acceleration consulting projects.
He has helped a wide range of clients internationally, from equity funds and individual investors, to startups and corporations in diverse industries, including retail, wholesale, international trading, food, technology, real estate, VC & private equity.
Prior to consulting, Manuel led strategic positions in the marketing & sales, finance and management areas for over 15 years. He has helped launch over 40 venture-backed businesses and managed a business portfolio encompassing 23 enterprises and over 1,500 employees.
Manuel has enabled companies to be awarded multiple times for business performance, best practices, sustainability and has generated relevant contributions serving as a board member of many non-profits internationally, including the Harvard Extension Entrepreneurship Association.
His educational experience is comprised of a Bachelor of Business Administration, Post-Bachelor’s in Retail and Project Management, a Master in Business Administration coursed in London and Boston, and a specialization in strategy at Harvard University.
